Terms of Use
1. The service
HabitPet lets you add habits you want to quit or start, pick an animal to grow with each habit, and record the days you keep it. The animal grows with your kept days and "graduates" when it becomes an adult; you can keep recording after that. There is no account and no subscription.
2. Buying slots
- A "slot" is the number of animals you can raise at once. You get 2 slots free and can buy more in the app (1 slot, or a pack of 3). Prices are as shown in the App Store.
- Slots are consumable purchases added to your records on the device. Recording itself never requires payment.
- If you delete a habit before its animal is grown up, the animal leaves and the slot comes back. After the animal is grown up, deleting the habit or stopping tracking keeps the animal in the room and the slot does not come back.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Request refunds from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Slots from refunded purchases are removed in the app.
- After reinstalling or switching devices, "Restore purchases" in Settings recovers slots bought with the same Apple Account. Because of how Apple provides purchase history, slots may not be restorable on iOS versions earlier than 18. Use "Export my record" to back up before switching devices.
3. Medical disclaimer
- This app is not treatment, diagnosis, or medical advice. Guide articles in the app are general information; consult a professional about your own situation.
- If you have been drinking heavily for a long time, stopping suddenly can be hard on your body. If you suspect dependence, talk to a medical professional before quitting.
- In an emergency, do not rely on this app; contact your local emergency number.
4. Your records
- Records are stored only on your device; the operator does not keep them. They may be lost if the device is lost, the app is deleted, or storage is reset, and the operator cannot recover them. You can back them up with "Export my record" in Settings.
- You are responsible for storing and sharing exported files. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual property
The operator owns the rights to the app's art, text, and code. You may use the app for personal purposes, but may not copy, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app or its art without permission, except where the law allows. Habit names and notes you write are yours.
6. Limitation of liability
The operator works to keep the app free of errors but does not guarantee error-free operation on every device or situation. Except for intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Where applicable law does not allow such a limitation, that law applies.
7. Changes and discontinuation
- Changes to these terms and their effective date will be posted on this page at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
- If distribution of the app ends, the aim is that already installed apps and on-device records remain usable.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Contact: support@joyfuljoyland.com
